waterlillies

my latest exhibiton is in darwin , this is one of my favourite cites in australia . Its just so beautiful and so australian ................. my exhibition is called 'chorus of colour' , and its opening on the 6th of march . i am working on lots of floral theme works and it shall have a very tropical feel compared to my normal more moody works. birds of paradise, orchids and not to mention waterlillies . on my lastest trip to paris is was so inspired by monets waterlillies that i had to catch my breath they were so large and very increadible his use of colour and the abstact nature of his brush strokes were just mind blowing to say the least. So paint waterlillies i have? I do think certain flowers appeal to artists more . I have never liked the common ones or even the most popular . my fav flower is the IRIS , my favourite scent is the gardiner, but the fav to paint is the waterlilly ....................

ok so yes i do like to shop like all girls do ......................and shop i do. The post christmas sales are the most amazing thing for me . yes i do like a bargin but more than that its always a source of inspiration . to find and increadible hat or a beautiful pair of shoes that can be used in a painting or a series is what always on my mind. last year i found a pair of green glittery shoes that are now used in my 'CINDERELLA SHOES' series. yeahhhhhhhh that was a find. I do very much try to set my art in time and paint what is current but in saying that i must love the style too. You wont be seeing 'GLADIATOR' shoes in new series as i dont find them attractive at all.Fashion is fickle but art dose have timeless quailty about it , i want my art to refect this .........i guess it comes down to CLEO mag or the bible 'VOGUE'.................XOX

' ONCE UPON A TIME IN PARIS'

my current show 'ONCE UPON A TIME IN PARIS' is currently on at the redhill gallery in brisbane . its on from the 5th of december till the 24th . its all about paris the city of love and my journey i went on while i was in france..........................I had a very magical time and was very captivated but the beautiful showgirls and can can dancers and not to mention french champane. lets face it what girl would not be ...........................the combination of paris , the night life and champane is totally intoxicating . time is but a dream in a city where opulance and beauty are one.
